Master of the S.S. "Haiching", and

The Chief Magistrate of Police of Hongkong.

WHEREAS on the 24th day of July, 1903, Florence Garrett was duly convicted before His Britannic Majesty's Provincial Court at Amoy for that she on the 22nd day of July, 1903, unlawfully did take a certain quantity of a certain deadly poisonous mixture with intent thereby then feloniously wilfully and of her malice aforethought to kill and murder herself, and it was adjudged that the said Florence Garrett for her said offence be called on to give security to the satisfaction of the Court to keep the Peace especially towards William Wilson, and to be of good behaviour for the term of Twelve months next ensuing, and that failing to give such security she be deported to Hongkong, and in the meantime be kept in safe custody; AND WHEREAS the said Florence Garrett has failed to give such security as aforesaid.

THEREFORE, I, Frederick Samuel Augustus Bourne, Acting Chief Justice of this Court, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the 109th Section of the China and Japan Order in Council 1881 (not 1865, assuming it's a typo since the context suggests a later year) do direct that the said Florence Garrett be deported to the Colony of Hongkong.
